Abstract

Renal involvement is found to be common in HIV positive patients (17.3%),
however Indian data are spare. The present study was done to find the spectrum of
nephropathy in current scenario. Total number of cases are 19, in a two year study.
Our preliminary results showed that collapsing glomerulopathy was not rare in
Indian HIV positive population and also we have seen two cases of classical HIVAN
in this study. Rest of the other cases are podocytopathies, immune complex-mediated
glomerular disease, tubule-interstitial diseases.
